Beef Pot Roast
A tender and easy-to-make pot roast that requires minimal ingredients.
Ingredients
- olive oil (2 tbsp)
- onion (1 none)
- garlic (4 clove)
- bay leaves (2 none)
- salt (1 tsp)
- black pepper (1 tsp)
- beef chuck roast (1 kg)
- water (2 cup)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
- In a large Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the beef chuck roast until browned on all sides.
- Remove the roast and set it aside. In the same pot, add diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
- Add the bay leaves, salt, black pepper, and the beef roast back into the pot. Pour in enough water to cover the roast.
- Cover the pot and place it in the oven. Roast for 2-3 hours until tender.
- Remove from oven, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with the broth and vegetables.
