Beef Pot Roast

A tender and easy-to-make pot roast that requires minimal ingredients.

Ingredients

  • olive oil (2 tbsp)
  • onion (1 none)
  • garlic (4 clove)
  • bay leaves (2 none)
  • salt (1 tsp)
  • black pepper (1 tsp)
  • beef chuck roast (1 kg)
  • water (2 cup)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a large Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the beef chuck roast until browned on all sides.
  3. Remove the roast and set it aside. In the same pot, add diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
  4. Add the bay leaves, salt, black pepper, and the beef roast back into the pot. Pour in enough water to cover the roast.
  5. Cover the pot and place it in the oven. Roast for 2-3 hours until tender.
  6. Remove from oven, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with the broth and vegetables.
