Asparagus and Red Pepper with Balsamic Vinegar
A quick and easy vegetable side dish featuring fresh asparagus and red bell pepper, enhanced with balsamic vinegar and Parmesan cheese.

- olive oil (1 tablespoon)
- fresh asparagus (0.5 bunch)
- red onion (1 )
- red bell pepper (1 )

- Parmesan cheese (0.25 cup)
- sesame seeds (1 tablespoon)
- toasted pine nuts (1 tablespoon)
Instructions
- Melt butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add asparagus, red onion, and salt. Cook until onion begins to soften, about 5 minutes. Stir pepper into mixture and continue cooking until onion caramelizes, another 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add vinegar, Parmesan cheese, sesame seeds, and pine nuts. Toss to combine.
