Apple Stuffed Pork Chops

Delicious pork chops stuffed with a hearty mixture of bread crumbs, apples, and spices.

Ingredients

  • chopped onion (1 tablespoon)
  • butter (0.25 cup)
  • fresh bread crumbs (3 cups)
  • chopped apples (2 cups)
  • chopped celery (0.25 cup)
  • chopped fresh parsley (2 teaspoons)
  • salt (0.25 teaspoon)
  • pork chops (6 )
  • salt and pepper (0 )
  • vegetable oil (1 tablespoon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet, sauté onion in butter until tender. Remove from heat. Add the bread crumbs, apples, celery, parsley, and salt. Mix together. Cut a pocket in the side of each pork chop; season with salt and pepper to taste. Spoon apple mixture into pockets.
  3. In skillet, heat oil to medium-high and brown chops on both sides. Place browned chops in an ungreased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until juices run clear.
