A classic and delicious apple pie made with thinly sliced apples and a crispy crust.

Ingredients

  • pastry for a 9-inch double-crust pie (1 package)
  • white sugar (0.75 cup)
  • ground cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
  • thinly sliced apples (6 cups)
  • butter (1 tablespoon)

Instructions

  1. Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  2. Line a 9-inch pie dish with one pastry crust; set the second one aside.
  3. Combine 3/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Add more sugar if your apples are tart.
