Apple Crisp with Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • Granny Smith apples (4 )
  • whole berry cranberry sauce (1.5 cups)
  • whole wheat pastry flour (1 cup)
  • rolled oats (1 cup)
  • packed brown sugar (0.67 cup)
  • unsalted butter (0.5 cup)
  • ground cinnamon (0.67 teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place apple slices in an 8- or 9-inch square baking dish; spread cranberry sauce over top. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon in a bowl until crumbly; sprinkle over apple-cranberry mixture until completely covered.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until apples are easily pierced with a knife and topping is browned, about 45 minutes.
