Apple Breakfast Bread

Ingredients

  • white sugar (1 cup)
  • unsalted butter (0.5 cup)
  • eggs (2 )
  • all-purpose flour (2 cups)
  • baking soda (1 teaspoon)
  • ground cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
  • salt (0.5 teaspoon)
  • ground cloves (0.5 teaspoon)
  • apples (2 )

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x4-inch loaf pan.
  2. Beat sugar and butter together in a large bowl with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs.
  3. Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and cloves together in a separate bowl; mix into butter mixture until moistened. Fold in apples; transfer to the prepared loaf pan.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 1 hour. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes. Invert carefully onto a wire rack to cool completely.
