Alaskan Sourdough Pancakes

Ingredients

  • sourdough starter (1 cup)
  • milk (1 cup)
  • egg (1 )
  • vegetable oil (1 tablespoon)
  • all-purpose flour (1.25 cups)
  • white sugar (2 tablespoon)
  • baking powder (1 teaspoon)
  • baking soda (0.5 teaspoon)
  • salt (0.5 teaspoon)
  • cooking spray (0 )

Instructions

  1. Combine sourdough starter, milk, egg, and oil in a bowl.
  2. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl. Stir in sourdough starter mixture until just combined; some lumps are okay.
  3. Lightly coat a griddle with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat. Drop batter by 1/4 cupfuls, in batches, onto the hot griddle. Cook until bubbles form and edges are dry, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown, another 2 to 3 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.
